So after years of Germani listening to me say I was going to buy the suit, I finally did it. I won some money at a Sun event and figured this was the best place to use it.

The purchasing experience is different. You call them, they take a bunch of measurement info from you, some payment info and then you get to wait 4 - 6 weeks for them to make up the suit you want. You can see id they have something in your size on the rack.

So I got the first suit 44S (fit is by chest size), everything fits great except the should to crotch is just a bit too short. I return that one for a 44R. They move you up to the front of the queue so it only takes 10 days or so to get the second suit. Now the torso length is good, but the legs are way too long. So I call them up we go through some more measurements and end up taking 2-1/4" from between the knee and the crotch. I get that one back an now it fits pretty good, again the top half is near perfect, the bottom is a little off. Mind you it costs 30.00 to ship this thing back each time (they pay return) so this gets expensive in a hurry. I also had them add knee slider velco as the suit is yours when you start making alterations.

In retrospect I think I'd have 2" above the knee and 1 below, but without trying what I did, I'm not sure how I would have figured it out. A key fitment point is where the knee armor lines up.

On the bike the suit is great, its comfortable, well armored and with the vents open its reasonably cool even at 80. I stayed dry for a 20 minute or so ride in moderate rain. Off the bike, its a bit much. One of the reasons I got it is I end up draggin a bunch of gear into customer appointments, this way I only have one piece. It really doesn't fit in a small backpack, so I'm still figuring out what to do there.

Color wise it's blue w/black ballistics. Its a lot of Blue, hopefully I'm that much more visibile to traffic now.
